The Parish is situated in the South East of County Sligo, Ireland. The official name of the parish is Kilfree and Killaragth and includes the 3 church areas of Gurteen, Cloonloo and Killaraght. The Parish of Killfree and Killaraght is in the Diocese of Achonry. The Village of Gurteen is located close to the Towns of Tubbercurry and Ballymote, in Co. Sligo and Ballaghaderreen and Boyle in Co.Roscommon.
